Nakazibwe Yudaya has six children, three of them adults, and the others teenagers. She is 50 years old, but looks much younger, with her peaceful face and slim appearance.

Before she found Bead for Life, Yudaya earned money fetching water in her village. Her husband died in 2002 of AIDS, and she is HIV+. She loves making beads, and likes to tell people how her life has changed. She weighed 35 kg (77 pounds), but now she weighs 50 kg (110 pounds). Her children are in good schools, and she is building a house in the BeadforLife Village.
