Esther is 32years old, a mother of three children. She is shy when giving her story. Her husband died in 2004 after a long sickness. She suffered for so long, had no job and no home until her brother-in-law, who is a policeman, allowed her to stay with his family. The house is one room, made out of mud and it's half built. When it rains, the water just enters the house through the unfinished walls.

Esther does her tailoring from home because she has no money to rent at least a small space in town for her machine. The customers she gets are just within the policed barracks. She also sells vegetables. Her children have been unable to attend school for lack of fees.

Esther says, 'If she starts to make an income, she would mostly spend her money on school fees and food'.
