Nakancwa Rebecca
is 30 years old, a mother to three children. She tested HIV positive in 2000. She suffered a lot after the death of her husband. She had no home, no work, and because of stress, she started falling sick very often. She could not take care of her children.

After some time she was given a room to stay in by her friend. It's made out of mud with no water, no power, not even a window. She lives near a primary school so she makes pan cakes and sell it to the pupils.
She and her children eat one meal a day.

She says "if she is able to make an income with BeadforLife she will spend it on her medication, education for her children, a plot for building a house and food".
