Why Host a BeadParty?

  • You want to have a good time with your friends and family while you make a difference in the lives of hundreds of wonderful Ugandan families living on the edge of extreme poverty.
  • You have a lot of like-minded friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors, who want to buy affordable, unique, quality Fair Trade items but don't always have the opportunity to do so.
  • You want to introduce others to a different kind of home party - one where the money raised will be used to build a sustainable cottage industry for those living in extreme poverty.
  • You know people who want to make a greater difference in the lives of others but just aren't sure how they can do that.

Hosting a BeadParty is fun and easy:
BeadforLife's staff will give you all of the support you need for a successful party.

  • As with any party, you will need to decide when, where, and for how many people. We recommend that you plan on inviting at least 30 guests, and we encourage you to have a large party.
  • You may want to consider joining with a friend or two to co-host a party since it is always fun to share responsibility and creativity.
  • You can use your own creative ideas for your party. Some hosts get many friends to help them; decorate with an African theme. Most parties serve food and beverages. Your guests will want to spend lots of time trying on jewelry and helping each other pick out something that is just right!
  • You can use your party time to talk about the bigger issues of world poverty, AIDS, and ways to get involved. We will send you suggestions of things your guests might want to do, like write letters to the beaders and read their life stories.

Hear from some of our past BeadParty Hosts:
"It was so nice to finally find a way that I, a mother and homemaker from Florida, could help those in need in Uganda." Julie - Naples, FL ........More Host Testimonials

What to expect:

  • About a week before your party date, we will send you a BeadParty Pack via UPS that includes: the beaded jewelry (about 150 items that will be a combination of colors and styles, including bracelets, necklaces, and anklets), a short DVD about the beaders, African music, recipes for delicious African food to serve, price lists, and background information.
  • Many of our hosts sell their jewelry either before or after their BeadParty as they meet friends and coleagues.
  • At the end of the party we ask you to fill out an inventory form, collect the money, and return everything to us in a postage paid self addressed envelope that you will receive with your BeadParty Pack.

Once you have decided on the date for your BeadParty, click on the button below to get started with your registration! (Please note that we will be shipping a significant value of beaded products to you for your BeadParty. Because we are committed to paying our Beaders and Tailors Fair Trade prices and funding community development projects in Uganda, it is necessary that we secure the value of our products and as such, a credit card will be requested during the registration process; however, your credit card will not be charged when you sign up to host your BeadParty. We will keep your credit card information on file until we receive your returned party package. )

Thank you so much for your support and interest to host a BeadParty and help to "Eradicate Poverty One Bead at a Time."
