In just a week, Boulder will once again be filled with college students and we will all be reminded that fall is approaching. With this in mind, now seems like the perfect time to enjoy the warmer weather and enjoy sitting on the front porch. We’d like to invite you to join us on our porch and enjoy some food, try on the jewelry and learn more about BeadforLife. In other words, we’re having an open house!
Whether you know a lot about BeadforLife or you know very little, we would love to see you and spend time with everyone who has become a part of our Bead Circle. And who knows, you may learn something new.
At our open house, we will be:
- Highlighting our community development programs
- Answering any questions about BeadforLife
- Sharing what it means to be a member of the Fair Trade Federation
- Introduce our potential market linkages and what we’re doing to continue expanding the program to impoverished Ugandans in more rural areas
- And, most importantly, highlight the success of our Beaders since joining BeadforLife
Open House:
When: Friday, August 21, 2009
Where: 1143 Portland Place, Suite 1, Boulder, CO 80304
Time: Noon to 6pm (extended hour for the event!)
Perks: A free 3-strand bracelet for every person who brings a donation of cereal, pasta, baby food or shampoo. These items will be donated to Emergency Family Assistance Association, our local Boulder organization that aids families who have immediate need for food, shelter and other necessities.
I mentioned free snacks, right? Hope to see you on Friday!
Cheers,
Ashley
