BeadforLife recently held an appreciation dinner to express our deep gratitude to the amazing volunteers that work at our office in Boulder, Colorado. These volunteers give many hours of their time working in the BeadforLife store, helping the fulfillment team choose the most beautiful piece of jewelry to send out in a web order, attending conferences and speaking about the work of BeadforLife and many, many other important tasks.

BeadforLife Volunteers Extraordinaire!

A few of our Volunteers Extraordinaire!

We also recognized that our base of volunteers is not limited to just the people we see here locally every week. We gave a loud shout-out to all of you from across the country and internationally who give incredible support and share your hearts each and every day. This event was held to recognize all of you as well! We hope you feel the love!

The celebration kicked off with a Skype call from Torkin, the Co-Founder of BeadforLife. She shared inspirational stories about the Beaders in Uganda whose lives have changed for the better since joining BeadforLife.  The programs BeadforLife offers enable the Beaders to make incredible life changes. This work would not be possible without the countless hours of volunteer efforts we receive on a daily basis.

We enjoyed a delicious dinner and then closed the evening by sharing experiences of how we each came to join the BeadforLife BeadCircle.  With each story exchanged we traded paper beads with one another and soon had enough to make a very special bangle bracelet. Our bracelets symbolize the strength of the BeadCircle.  Such a fitting metaphor as BeadforLife relies on a circle of exchange to help bring about awareness of the issue of extreme poverty.

All of our BeadParty Hosts, local volunteers, Community Partners, and staff members, have enriched the BeadCircle in so many ways by tirelessly working to share the BeadforLife mission to help women raise themselves out of poverty.

Thanks to all of you for your contributions and perseverance in fighting global poverty.  We are so thankful for each and every one of you!
