Sponsored by Carolann & George Najarian Diana Rukundo is 25. In Uganda it is common to find young adults like Diana. She was fortunate to be able to finish school, but was not able to complete the school fee payments in time, thus the school would not release her results. It was difficult to prove she had completed school to prospective employers and finding a job has been extremely difficult. She and her father require some health care and she is hoping that the skills she is learning in her Secretarial course will lead her towards a stable income, health care and treatment, as well as supporting her family. |

| This is an example of the inspiring stories of how past and current partnerships between sponsors and students are allowing young Ugandans to seize a better future and filling the hearts and imaginations of North Americans. These students have worked hard and we have seen their confidence and pride grow each month. BeadforLife strives hard to support students not only with the vocational training, but also with 'wrap-around' skills like resume writing, interviewing, networking, and work ethic. We do this in our monthly Friday Afternoon Club, as well as in one-on-one counseling with students. BeadforLife also attempts to help students find jobs once they graduate.
