We measure the success of our programs in Uganda by the impact they make in the lives of our members. We measure such outcomes as sustainable income, assets, and school sponsorships.

Our Members in Uganda

Our Members

Last year, we directly served over 2200 women living in urban and rural communities throughout Eastern and Central Uganda.

Our Community Reach

Community Reach

This year, BeadforLife helped over 10,000 people in 2,200 Ugandan households access improved housing, education and nutrition.

Providing Sustainable Income

Sustainable Income

81% of members who start a business during our program are still running their business successfully 2 years later. Sustainable income generation is also a Guiding Principle of BeadforLife, which remains 90% self-funded through product sales.

Improved Assets

Change in Assets

Our graduates are able to spend twice as much on basic needs after their time in our program, as they were before entering it. Over a year after graduating, they also own more assets such as cell phones, mattresses, livestock, land and homes.

Sponsoring Girls Education

School Sponsorship

Last year, we sponsored 116 bright, but impoverished girls, allowing them to continue their secondary school education—and go on to improve their communities. Donate to our Girls Education Program
