"From the Heart of BeadforLife
BeadforLife webmaster and musician Michael Waters (right) took on the role of producing the CD, and his colleague, recording engineer Anthony Maki (left) volunteered his time and expertise to get the best sound possible.Sponsors for the project raised funds to assist with the cost of travel and production.
Michael and Anthony assembled a travelling recording studio and arrived in Kampala in late March, 2006. With only two weeks to get the material, they ran a busy schedule.

To get everyone used to the process, the recording studio was set up for four practice sessions. Because of rolling power-outs in Kampala, and to ensure a quiet setting, the National Theatre stage was rented for one day.
What a day it was! The beaders all wore their BeadforLife T-shirts, and from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM they worked and sang. The music they made!
Now the music of the Beaders' lives can reach far and wide, telling the story of their lives.
