Three easy ways to join the campaign:
1. Host a BeadParty. In Uganda, education means suubi (hope) for women and girls striving to direct their own destinies. A BeadParty is one of the best ways you can take action now to empower women in Uganda with the education and training they need to take control of their economic futures. 2. Take your participation one step further by hosting a Women’s Empowerment Spotlight BeadParty, and initiating an in-depth investigation into the global poverty issues that impact women and girls. With its focus on “Connecting Girls, Inspiring Futures,” International Women’s Day asks that every supporting event in 2012 includes girls in some way. A portion of the funds you raise at your Women’s Empowerment Spotlight BeadParty will go directly to BeadforLife’s Girls’ Education Program, providing boarding school funding for rural girls with no prior access to secondary education.
