At BeadforLife, we are constantly seeking ways to increase awareness about social issues surrounding extreme poverty. Global poverty is complex, and it can be an overwhelming topic to explore. By hosting a Spotlight BeadParty, you and your guests can focus more closely on one aspect of extreme poverty, gain more in-depth knowledge about a particular issue, and have the satisfaction of knowing that a portion of the funds from your BeadParty will go to support BeadforLife’s work programs in that specific area.

Here’s how it works:

1. Choose a Spotlight BeadParty theme by exploring the links in the left column:

• Spotlight on Rural Poverty
• Spotlight on Women’s Empowerment
• Spotlight on Health in the Developing World (coming soon)

2.  Register NOW using the appropriate code.

3.  After registering, you will receive an e-mail confirmation with a link to the resource-packed Spotlight BeadParty website.  Use this site to gather information and activities to share with your guests.  The HomePage gives you general background, while the Toolbox and Additional Resources sections contain lots more information, such as a sample agenda, articles and videos.  Don’t forget to check out the Take Action section!
