Forty percent of BeadforLife's 140 members are HIV+, including our Nsambia group which is comprised only of HIV+ women. Despite this high rate of infection, only 16% of the children have been tested for HIV, although all children of HIV parents are at higher risk. Because of this, BeadforLife recently partnered with the Pediatric Infectious Disease Clinic (PIDC) to provide testing for the children of HIV positive members as part of our community development focus.
